Upper Highway Trail Marathon 2025
The Upper Highway Trail Marathon (UHTM) is an iconic trail marathon held in the Upper Highway of Durban, South Africa linking many of the area’s amazing trails and conservancies. Proceeds raised are donated to the conservancies to help sustain, support and showcase the natural beauty of the area.
A nature lover’s paradise, it boasts…
• 7 conservancies
• 6 river eco systems
• 3 waterfalls
• 274 indigenous tree species
• 40+ indigenous mammal species
• 169 butterfly species
It takes place in December with entries booking up fast.

24 Hour Mountain Bike Ride
If endurance is your thing, enter the 24 hour mountain bike ride for a thrilling, fun event.
It will take place at Shongweni Club from 6 – 7 December and can be entered as a solo ride or a team of up to 6 riders.

Christmas Trail Run - Wynnifred’s
Wynnifred Café and Shoppe is the venue for this beautiful trail. The route begins at the Café before winding through lush farmland that will leave you breathless. Medium and Long course runners are in for something special, with their trails climbing up the mountainside to expansive grasslands and an unforgettable 360° view over the Eston and Hopewell countryside. From the summit, the route takes a unique turn, tapering between dramatic cliff faces before descending into indigenous forest, cutting back through farmland, and returning to the Café.
U18 3km Santa Dash is free for the young ones to enjoy.
Celebrate the end of a wonderful year and the festive season – festive attire encouraged!

Family Fest 2026
Familie Fest will be back in 2026 and tickets are selling fast! This vibrant live music concert celebrating the joy of family and friends is not to be missed! It will take place again at NU Driving Range, Hillcrest on 29 and 30 May and will feature a stellar lineup of South African bands.
