Survivor Trail - Bothas Hill

The South African Lipizzaners
Get ready for a spectacular weekend of elegance, music and unforgettable entertainment as the Lipizzaners come to Shongweni!
There will be two incredible performances, each with their own unique theme:
Wednesday 30 September 2026, 19:00 – Classical Performance
Experience the timeless beauty and grace of the Lipizzaners in a stunning classical performance, combining magnificent horses, music and the artistry of this world-renowned tradition.
Thursday 1 October 2026, 15:00 – Disney-Themed Performance
Bring the whole family along for a magical Disney-inspired experience! Enjoy the incredible Lipizzaners as they bring some of your favorite Disney moments to life with a fun-filled performance for all ages.
Make a day or evening of it! A selection of food and drinks will be available to purchase at the event. Guests are asked to bring their own chairs or picnic seating for the performances.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan of the Lipizzaners or seeing them for the first time, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!

NCMI KZN Equip Event 2026
Equip is an annual leadership and equipping conference designed to gather hundreds of people from across South Africa to invest in their personal and communal leadership.
The conference is open to everyone—whether you are in high school, university, working, or retired—under the philosophy that “everybody leads somebody”. It provides a dedicated time for inspiring input, encouragement, and practical training, alongside opportunities to build new connections with believers from across the province.

Breakout Sessions on Friday afternoon are open to anyone who can make it, but the Conference officially starts Friday evening at 18:30.
Music Up The Hill 2026
Jeremy Loops is heading to Music Up the Hill at the picturesque Fig Tree Farm on Sunday, 4 October for a full day of live music, great food and relaxed countryside vibes.
One of South Africa’s most loved live performers, Jeremy Loops will headline a brilliant local lineup featuring Desmond and the Tutus, Tanner Wareham, Matt Gardiner and Phil Taylor.

Triple P Summer Classic 2026
This year’s Triple P Summer Classic will take place in October at Shongweni Club and promises to be another fun showjumping event for both riders and spectators.
Date : 17 – 18 October 2026
Venue : Shongweni Club, Assagay, KwaZulu-Natal
Time: 8am – 4pm daily
The Triple P shows take place four times a year with this being the last of the year. March is the Interschools Challenge, May is the Winter Classic, August is the Kzn Closed Champs and October is the Summer Classic. All are big fun events so don’t miss out!
Social Link Festival 2026
Don’t miss the ultimate music experience with DJ Bongz at the Annual Social Link Music Festival, set against the scenic backdrop of Westown Shongweni in Durban’s Upper Highway. The Equistar November Show
This big dressage event, organized by EquiStar Dressage Shows KZN will take place on Saturday 21 and 22 November this year.

Venue : Durban Shongweni Club, Assagay, KwaZulu-Natal
Time: 8am – 4pm
Discipline: Affiliated and Unaffiliated Dressage
Affiliation: Run under Dressage South Africa (DSA) and South African Equestrian Federation (SAEF) rules.
Surface/Venue: Expected to be held on Sand, matching their typical dressage show scheduling setup in KwaZulu-Natal
Official updates, schedule downloads, and online entry systems are managed through the Dressage South Africa KZN Schedules Portal or via the EquiStar Dressage KZN coordinator network.
Upper Highway Trail Marathon 2026
Entries are open for this incredible trail – the Upper Highway Trail Marathon (UHTM) and entries are limited.
This iconic trail marathon is held in the Upper Highway of Durban and links many of the area’s amazing trails and conservancies. Proceeds raised are donated to the conservancies to help sustain, support and showcase the natural beauty of the area.
A nature lover’s paradise, boasting…

• 6 river eco systems
• 3 waterfalls
• 274 indigenous tree species
• 40+ indigenous mammal species
• 169 butterfly species
